Air conditioning / heating systems should be bought from dealers recommended by major manufacturers through their dealer locator services.

Major HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) manufacturers are extremely concerned about customer satisfaction and recommend dealers that have been well trained in installation of their equipment and provide a good value for the consumer. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your installation or equipment, you can go directly to the manufacturer and the manufacturer can usually insure that you are satisfied, if the manufacturer recommended the dealer.

The manufacturers we would recommend are York, Luxaire and Coleman. These are all very large manufacturers with years in the HVAC business and excellent quality products that also, in our opinion, have the best dealer networks. Remember that you get what you pay for. If you obtain bids, opting to go with the lowest one is not always the best solution. Do not use dealers who require 10% of the entire project price up front. If possible, always check some of their references in your area.

Tip: The best deals on purchasing can be obtained in the intermediate seasons, when the dealers are least busy; March, April, May, September, October and the first three weeks in December. Many dealers will take jobs at very close to cost at these times just to keep their installation crews busy.
